Hey, folks! Great new forum! This will all be old news to the moderators, but I've written two novels featuring the Despenser family, The Traitor's Wife: A Novel of the Reign of Edward II, and Hugh and Bess: A Love Story. I'm working on a third novel set during the Wars of the Roses featuring Harry Stafford, the second Duke of Buckingham, and his wife, Katherine Woodville. These days my head mainly resides in the fifteenth century.

Great to see you here Susan! I'm sure you will be a valuable patron of the Quill so shall I keep a seat reserved for you at the fireside and your favourite tipple on the bar?

Interesting status levels on this forum ... hmm, floor scrubber! LOL! I can see I'm in good company here. I loved The Traitor's Wife. I haven't gotten to Hugh and Bess yet, but I will. I look forward to scrubbing floors with you all!

Haha, no. It's all I could think of at the time, I'm afraid (nothing to do with any alcohol imbibed - honest!) If any of you have some other suggestions instead of the ranks as they stand (or scrub), let us know and perhaps we could do a poll!!!!

Thanks for the welcome, all! I rather like "Floor Scrubber." Gives me incentive to keep posting to get off the floor!

Floor Scrubber's a hoot! I can't wait to see what the next level is. As long as it doesn't have anything to do with toilets.
