No multiple accounts - it is un-necessary unless you happen to be more than one person!

Make sure you keep any personal details hidden - such as e-mail addresses and personal addresses as these may be abused by third parties (and The Tattered Quill will not accept any responsibility). If you wish to let another member know your details then do it through a PM or e-mail.

No swearing or obscenities please - unless ***'s are used. Even then - please be sparing. Emoticons are pretty good for conveying emotions.

Debates are OK but must not degenerate into personal attacks, aggression or flaming.

Trolls will be sat on imediately - then banished forever!

If a post is in any way offensive, contact the Admin by PM giving details of the offence and where the post can be found. The Admin will then investigate and take any appropriate action. If there is a problem and we don't know about it, we can't do anything about it.

Innuendo is fine - and great fun - but absolutely no graphic or obcene comments are allowed.

If you would like to add a link to your own site or forum please contact the Admin and we will determine its suitability and post it on the Links (or similar) board. You must have made at least 100 posts on this board or be a moderator before we will consider your link.

Spamming is not permitted - either on the board or on PM or e-mail. If this occurs the offender will be removed forever!

Fiction

Each piece/episode (if from a longer piece) should not be longer than about 1300 words.

As this is a historically-based forum, any fiction should have a strong historical theme (preferably, but not exclusively -if you have had a good idea- based in the time period 1066-1550)

Explicit, adult fiction is not permitted on this site. If there is a demand for writers wanting to write more adult themes, Admin shall look into setting up another board especially for the purpose.

Any fiction posted on this site is copyright to the author of the piece and permission should be sought from them if you want to use the piece elsewhere.

Plagiarism is absolutely NO-NO!!! It is stealing, plain and simple and will result in an immediate ban.

Images

You are welcome to add your own images or links to videos etc as long as they are not illegal, offensive or pornographic.

Any images or videos etc made and displayed by members belong to them in the same way as fiction (see above).


And... last but not least... the Admin has the final word!
